Avoid importing or buying fake products

How does your company avoid importing or buying fake products, and what do you do if it happens?

Counterfeiting and priacy is the intentional imitation of a trademark, a work protected by copyright, a design, a patent or a utility model. The purpose of the imitation is to deceive the consumers to believe that they are buying an original. The commercial import or purchase of counterfeit or pirated goods is illegal. Consequently, your company should consider which preventive measures the company can and will take to avoid this.

Producers of counterfeit or pirated goods are becoming increasingly more professional, and it can be difficult to distinguish fakes from originals. Earlier, counterfeiting and piracy mainly involved luxury goods, but today all typtes os products are being copied - eg also washing powder, batteries and medicines. It is illegal to produce and sell counterfeit and pirated products and in some cases also illegal to buy them.
