What is the difference between analogue and digital copying?
Analogue copying is copying where the end result is analogue – meaning the copying from an analogue or digital media to an analogue medium eg. copying a CD or LP onto a cassette, or copying a DVD movie onto a VHS tape.
Digital copying is copying where the end result is digital – meaning from an analogue or digital media to a digital media - eg if you copy a DVD to another DVD. It is also digital copying when you convert or compress from one format to another, eg from CD to MP3 - even if this results in loss of quality.
